Cue: Khanyisile Mateke is a girl who is gifted vocally. She learnt this about herself when she was still in primary school. With the support and encouragement of her family, she joined the worship team at her church and the school choir.
She entered for multiple talent shows when she was still in school. In those talent shows, she managed to win a few of them. And that is when her peers and family encouraged her to open a YouTube channel. With a bit of self-doubt she did not entertain the idea until this year, January 2021. Now she is a YouTuber that goes by the name Pheobe, who does song covers. Last year she entered the competition for Idols SA and unfortunately she did not make it to the aired shows, but she made it to the top 300.
